What is the most exciting and rewarding part about being a game artist?
As a game artist, a great working environment is very rewarding. I am constantly impressed and inspired by the talented and creative people that I work with and seeing your work in a game is rather exciting too. Currently, with E3 around the corner, I am looking forward to seeing all the fantastic new games and how other teams are, once again, pushing the envelope on current and new technology.

Why did you enter the Dominance War and if you could, would you recommend similar 3d game contests to friends/aspiring artists? Why or Why not?
I recommended the competition to a bunch of my friends and work mates! Seeing everyone else's work is always a great motivator for I feel it is important to do work in your free time. It is always more fun when you are in control of what you create, however if it is done in your spare time, it can sometimes be hard to get things finished. So in this respect, competitions like the Dominance War helps - because you have a deadline which everyone has to adhere to!
What would be your advice for aspiring game artists out there? What type of training do you think would be helpful in becoming a successful game artist?

Winning Pose
I would recommend the same advice I have seen on forums; Have a traditional background/foundation in art. Personally, I didn't, but I am now pushing myself by attending life drawing sessions each week. With hindsight, I would defiantly recommend going to art school to learn traditional skills. Spend less time browsing forums and chatting on msn... and spend more time creating/practicing art work.
