Hey there, im kinda lost yet.

I'm working in a Naruto mod for the HL Engine (Halflife 1, goldsource engine). Our coder has pretty much improved the Engine as we are able to push over the limits of the normal hl1 engine.

The main thing is, i'm looking here for a spot were i could give a Non-Paid job as a Mod-Job.
Since our mod is no company just a indie group i dont think i would do right by Posting in Fulltime/freelance jobs.
We're cuncurrently looking for Animators. If any coder reads this who knows c++ very well, we are looking for you aswell.
Animators would need to work with 3d Studio max 6 ( maybe even 7, not sure) with the SMD Import and Export plugin, so we could compile the Animations into a *.MDL file (wich is the Halflife Format).
Or they should work with Milkshape 3D. It has all Basics and it has a 30 Day's trail if you dont have it.
There are about 70-80 Animations for each character. We have enough refrences to show what to do and how it should look alike as in GIF's , Broadcast's and screenshots.
For the Coders its only important to work with Microsoft Visual Studio.

The whole game is a Multiplayer thing. For the first Alpha release we want to release 3 character (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura).
Our outline is written down so everybody knows what we do.

If anybody is interested please contact me for more information.

Thanks in advance (Yeh, if i posted into a wrong direction... maybe you could move this thread into the right one? >_< )

Hey, that's a very good idea ^^ Infact I remember looking for one when I first came here (after DW) and didn't see any. I don't think its any less professional than 'official jobs', who knows... Mods can become pretty commercial stuff later, or contribute the people's portfolio and experience :)

yeh thats why i actually thought off posting it here since people mostly look for inspiration or work to show off in their portofolio's. As this forums mainly has exp. artist. So it could come handy.

hopefully i will get an answer soon :)

When I started the designs for GA, there were actually suppose to be 3 sections, freelance, fulltime.. and mods. But I decided to simplify things and took out mods:flag: oops

I suppose they can be put back in, but it might be a bit of time before this happens.

Thanks for letting me know you are interested.

Hey TryForce, if you don't know about it already - you could always check out ModDB.com. Not to take away from this place, but they have everything to do with mods...

we are underground for now as i dont remember seeing there a "recruiting-box" or something. Also we are looking for a few more Serious guys then just
"hey, hi, i would like to work with you, i have just started animating!"
We dont want to go to public yet because we dont want to come up with something Unfinished. We got Characters, one is allready getting its animations. A few maps are finished a few are still beeing Polished up/rebuild. We got an own Particle system as an own Celshading Rendering. We got pretty much done yet though its not near finish.

Thats why it wouldnt be to good to get in public and asking for help. Even now people dont know the name, they just know that there is something happening, whats fine.
