beauty shot Q

I was wondering if the following situation is accepted for the beauty shot:
one of my friends is also participating in this contest and we would like to use each other's char in the beauty shot (they are different races ;evil and ancient) ; so the beauty shot for ancient will also contain the evil char laying on the ground (dead obviously :) or in great pain ) ;for the ancient beauty shot the evil char will count as background character? ... and vice versa ...?

It's a very good idea, but unfortunatly, nope, it's not allowed. It would be best to keep your characters seperate from each other. The reason is, there would be a significant advantage in having two fully detailed characters in a single beauty shot. It would make an entry look more full and a lot more detailed over other single character entries.

so now i also want to ask some question about the beauty shot

can i (kind of) matte paint the background in ps? like the skysilhuette of a city (bit like the dow2 banner) putting it on a plane and posing the model in front of it ?

and if i photoshop-edit the background around the model after rendering its ok as long as i don´t overpaint the model ?!
