For alpha mapped geometry is it ok to use 2 sided materials, or do I have to have a solid mesh with one map on it?..

yup, two sides surfaces are allowed. In the past.. people made me put it in. They literally forced me to:p

Yeah, I am saying this too hehe. I really need two sided materials for my gun. I am glad this rule is in:p
