Hey man. It's a nice start but you'll definitely want to take a look at your poly distribution. Especially on the arms...you could probably cut a few of those vertical edges and not lose anything in the silhouette or deformation. For an MMO guy, although it's nice, I don't think you'd need to define the bicep and tricep so much in geometry...you could probably do that through snazzy texture work. The head band is also a bit too dense and you could probably drop a few loops in the legs (quadriceps...the knee is fine)

As for your texture, it's coming off a bit blurry and seems as if the materials are all made of the same thing. Maybe play with some spec or try to add highlights to the flames to break them apart more from the other areas. Also, maybe add some more detail to the black parts? Make them a dark grey and add some ribbing, maybe? Your skin texture could also use some more definition, try popping out areas with baked in shading (assuming this is old school with no normal maps) and add more skin tones :)

Hope this helps!

I agree with Gavin, you probably could have achieved the same result with half the polys as the one you have don't really add anything to the silhouette.

You should also get a lot of anatomy references when you work, you can never get enough. Right now there are a few problematic areas, but the shoulders and crotch area come to mind.

As for the texture, there is some nice detail in there and it shows that you put a lot of time into it, however I feel it's too noisy in some areas and you lose a lot of shapes definition because of it. Like Gav suggested, I strongly recommend you bake some shadows into your texture as it's gonna make the volumes pop almost instantaneously... kinda ;)

Keep working hard man, keep us updated on your progress.
