Hi guys!

Inspired by the topic 'References from Europe' from Bode I shot some pictures from the canal in Utrecht (Netherlands)
(29 pictures) (round 66mb's) It's not much pictures for this subject but I was walking 5 minutes round the canal so just a few. Maybe I'll shoot more later.

Not my best pictures I must say, it are pictures shot in haste-mode :p My battery was low my camera said and I was a bit late for work. But it's perfect for references :)

Still for the ones that has no canals nearby here are a few pictures from the bridges, the canalwater, the ducks in the canal :approve: and a few texture pictures for the Textureartists or 3Dartists.

I don't know anything about textures for 3Dwork but I cleaned the floor texture by cloning away all the little leafs.

So your guys are free to download it and use it :) No credits needed, it's a share in our community :thumb:

The images (jpg) are 3008x2000 except 1 shot of the stonefloortexture (dsc_0021) this one is a bit cropped because of a ugly line at the bottom. This one is 3008x1936.

Download the images here: This is my first public uploaddrop so if anything occur due downloadtraffic or something please contact me. I'll reupload them somewhere else.
Hopefully my site/domain won't crash by this filesize :p
It's a rar-file so you'll need a unpacking software
.

Give a comment if you found them useful, maybe I'll share more stuff soon and then I'll take more time for making those pictures :thumb:

Hey there.

Just wanted to say thx very much for uploading these photo references, I may find them useful for doing environmental models/props for my portfolio and it's great cos it's from the Netherlands so it's different than lookin at UK environments!

If you want to share stuff then please feel free. Small request but any small/enclosed areas you may find on your travels would be really awesome too and much appreciated. Only if you happen to pass by though so don't put too much effort into finding them! :P

Thanks again Absorber. :thumb:

p.s ducks for the win!

This was an idea I had a loooong time ago. Artist from all over the world would shoot a particular city or location, this connected with a map (now google map, first was Yahoo). You typed in the location and there you go. A bunch of pictures available to download one by one, or a big ass zip file.

I still have the project on one of my HDD's. The programmer flaked on me, so I started learning some stuff on my own. Then I realized secure database programming is WAY over my head right now.

Yeah that's cool. But if we use google maps the files will be seen by all the google maps users right? Not just the artists. This will cost us a lot of downloadspace.
