rock on man! Loomis left some really great stuff, glad to see you are applying it. I like the head you have sketched on the left hand side of the first page using only primitives. You seem to have done a better job on the perspective without adding in the details. Simply, the nose actually covers a portion of the far eye socket. In the images that you have detailed a little more, both eyes are fully visible in the perspective shots, and this is feeling a bit weird.

When you are doing studies (well.. most drawings for work even) feel free to "draw through" portions. Lay down basic geometry and lightly sketch in a rough of the features, including those features that are "behind" others and covered up. That is, if you lay the eyes down on the geometry first, feel free to draw the nose partially or completely covering the far eye, and I would suggest even lightly drawing the features that are on the far side of the head, such as the placement of the other ear. This is not so much technique advice as an attempt to encourage you to have a bit of boldness, don't worry about drawing over areas you have already drawn, or feeling that you need to add in details. When you do studies... *study*. Whatever it takes, it doesn't have to look detailed or otherwise incredible, it just has to help you understand the forms.

I think you are coming along well since the first time I had seen your work. I would encourage you to keep drawing, and keep studying! as I believe that this practice of drawing and studying forms will greatly increase your skill in all the venues of art that you practice.

Very nice... thank you for sharing. Here is a site that has free video tutorials, mostly about the 8 head principle and similar methods for drawing a head.

cool, those are a lot of video's :p i prefer books though, 'couse then when you reed something you can immediately draw next to it, and i like to be old-fashioned :D (JK)
i worked on a digital one, turned out smaller then i thought it would, i worked while zoomed in :P

Keep it up man, your only way is to improve your skills. Depending the style you want to follow you can distort the proportions a little bit more, keep it up:)

hey, good progress
I kinda like that you started with drawing the "whole" head instead of only parts of it. I myself did pretty wrong with that, i first learned how to draw eyes,Nose, mouth, ears and kin but now i can't match them into a head, as i only could do a bust just as a clean mesh there.

Keep it up!

Thanks guys!
Here is a new one, i've made him without using the circle/line thingie so that i can get less generic proportions and start to get a feeling for it.

nice! i can already see improvement. only thing i'd suggest is to use real refs as much as possible, and apply what you've learned to what you see. you learn very quickly this way. keep it up!!
