Hey, so here is my newest Project. Again the Concept by Hunter Mortenson ( http://www.huntermortenson.com ) , Special thanks bud :D
I'm kinda going over my usual limit, but i gues its fine. Its about more then 5k now, Still going to model for him 2 swords with the exact same shape.

Some pretty nice modeling there!:thumb:
The only thing that I see right now is the pelvic/crotch area... I'm not sure if that'll deform well enough... hmm... :think:
Something to look out for I guess :).
And interesting that you modeled the fingers that way. Presonally I tend to model them spread out and slightly relaxed, usually easier to rig and UV. :)

Great start TF. I would recommend taking another look at what polys you need and don't. Looks like the face could lose a lot without losing any shape, mainly the forehead area. Also with the original concept you posted he had a little more style in the stomach area. I would bring that back instead of the straight tube, add in some hips that go into the pants, just to give that area some flare. Other then that man it's looking great, he has a really nice silhouette. I'm really looking forward to your texture on him and seeing him all posed and everything.

Looking at this has me itching to play some Kingdom hearts:lucky:. The model has solid form and the silhouette is pretty sweet but as said before you could optimize this guy and still keep the silhouette. By the way it would also be cool if he had movable eye's instead of a static stare. I'm looking forward to your texture treatment, keep us posted!:thumb:

@-JL- : Hey there, thanks for the compliment :P, I'm not sure about the Pelvis area myself, I never really had any good points on how to do them, so i did them as i always did ._.
Fixed the fingers !!!
P.S.: Im loving your Avatar haha, the texturing is simple and kickass!
@Shady-D: Yeh i did ;P , Thanks shadeh, though i didnt stuck on Kh latly, i took a breake from it actually for more then 2 months i think (probably more) I just got sick from Naruto now -_- ... thank god there is no manga release today ^^
Yeh its an awesome style, i would never blame myself for loving it, look how far i came with it :D

@Eclipse: THanks man, I cuted a whole polygonrow on the face, several on the sword and some other spots. You're right about the belly, but i dont know how to fix it withouth interrupting other polys/points there, as i dont know how to make the flow for it.

@Marcus: haha owell i kinda want now a Psp for the "birth of sleep" game comming out probably 2008. What a shame , why didnt they keep it for Ps3? -_-

I tried to do animateable eyes at the very begining, didn't worked out though, the shape isnt to good for it.

Even though there are alot of straight lines, but i think it folows up right somehow, still im open for suggestions n crits at it:

Nice mesh man! looking nice so far. Realy Kingdom Hearts style :), keep it up cant wait for the texture :).

TryForce interesting character concept reminds me of one of the boys from Digimon. The silhouette looks awesome I might add. And Your modeling style shows well in your mesh construction, though I think you could have had a few less tri used on the face and afforded more for his square looking pants :think: I could be wrong. Also nice progress on textures :thumb:

I see your point and i won't disagree, just the possibility for me now to change that aint easy as i dont see in my eyes a good possibilty to loose there some tris that well.
The Pants are probably to much square alike ,though i will see how the texture going to work on that. Thanks again.
Havnt been doing much as i'm not happy with my progress, but will see how its going on. last update for today:

Hey man great model. Definitely like the kingdom hearts style ya got going on there. Only problem i have is the mouth area. If you ever plan on animating his mouth you may need to look at the flow of your edge loops there, as it stands now it won't deform properly. But the texturing is coming along great. Definite Squaresoft feel, i'm love'n. Keep up the good work

KamuiTenshi: I always dont think about the facial stuff because i never used to animate or deform the facial stuff in anyway. You got a good point there but i will probably wont use any facial animations on it.... kinda stupid, why did i gave him a mouth in anyway? I dont know myself, hehe ^^"

yeh i removed the hair at the back of the hair, kinda disliked it the more i worked on it. Also i smothed the Pants abit in the front.

cool model and i like where the texture is goin too, the only thing i would suggest is to put a little more contrast in the skin like you told me to do, and maybe add some red undertones

damn this is coming along really well mate! I would add more color variation and skin tones in his face and chest, the clothes just suit the character perfectly in my opinion ;) can you post the texture sheets?

Looking good. The geometry of the face from the side view is too flat. I think you need to define it more. The front looks great but from the side view, I can't tell if it's the same model.

@Remixstudios: yeh true part on it. Thanks, sorry but im to much out of this project i simply wanted to finish the whole texture in all. aint gonna fix it
@funkdelic: hey thanks, true true but like said, im sick of it. Aint gonna change it heh.
@_tdc_: I might will check upon it , i dont like the side to much aswell, probably gonna take a look at it befor im going to do anything with it again, THanks!

so here is the final picture of it. I'm not going to update with any Modeling or Texture stuff anymore. If then only renderings/anims if i will force myself to do it with him.

something about the top of his hair is buggin me. in the concept it looks good but pulled over to 3d it looks like hes stuck in the 80s. too much POOF leading up to the spiked bangs. other that that, what they said :D

im really likin this guy. i love the attention to detail when it comes to the design. this is adding some mega punch to the character. i agree with my homie _tdc_ the face could use some tweakin to get the curve that the concept has. other than that i think a minor thing is working on where clothe meets skin. shadows and what not.
GOOD STUFF TRI. i love it. you ve come A LONG way man.
