I can't help too much, but hopefully sharing my experience will keep you from doing certain things.
I have a tv as a monitor and from what I've researched, tvs do not display the same range of colors that monitors do (it's a very small difference)
with that said, maybe the most current tvs or the more expensive ones have fixed this.
it also probably depends on your graphic card and even settings. at the end of the day, it's more than one things that's causing these variations. i know that there's color correction tools (adobe has one of them), but can't comment much on this due to inexperience. good luck

Hello TksDevil,
Well I had a Illyama CRT monitor since 9 years and it was very good. So I bought a LCD of the same brand and it looks good.
22" for 160 euros and full HD.
I hope It helps you.

Titova87: Thanks for the tips :)

Wy-Akatom: i myself want to buy 22" LCD but there are many brands i don't know which one to pick, can you tell a little about your monitor, like how its colors are and does the image result changes as you look the monitor from different angles because i heard that there are many LCD in which images result don't change when you look form different angels

Well, my color seems good but it's hard to say because I don't printing documents so I can't compare. I used Adobe correction color like said Titova87 and my GC software but it's little hard to do it.
For different angles, I think you can't go more than 45°. I not sure because I'm always in front of.
I saw that Illyama is a good brand several times but I using Illyama monitor so I can't compare. Checks the comments on sellers site. Good luck.
