So I have about a month left before I graduate from the Art Institute in San Francisco and I just finished my last character model for my reel.

This is Arix and Zero, a caricature of my girlfriend and our kitty. There is still time for tweaks so speak up!

Arix is around 2600 tris and has a 512 map and Zero is 500 or so and has a 256 map.

looking good,it almost has a 'Beyond Good And Evil' look to it(love that game!!)
the only thing i would say is have a look at the texturing from waist up(nice and colourfull...textures pop),waist down theres more of a blended greyness to the texture, especially the trainers.

The face looks a bit awkward... I think the eyes are to large and the nose to skinny. Also proportions which was said above. That tatoos could use more depth too right now it kind of looks like red paint. That kitty looks awesome I'm lovin` those wings and the subtle tiger like striping.

Nice work overall. Looks like a fun engaging character. I like how you didn't shy away from bright colors in your color choices, but you didn't get that same strong color in your shading. It still looks like pools of very monochromatic shading. The shading itself is a bit shallow too, not dark enough or light enough in your volume painting.

See if you can work on making the texture have more contrast by adding darker shadows, and brighter highlights, and work on getting more color into your shading.
