Voting is now open for the very first Sprite Mini.
Vote anytime between now and January 19th, 11:59pm-ish (E.S.T).
You can see the write-up for this mini here (http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12494), but the short version is that artists were asked to come up with a design and animation for a "serviceBot," some robot designed to help and not for combat, but who has been "taken over" and is now attacking the game's protagonists.

The concept behind these minis is to create sprite art for InfestStation, an actual iPhone game that we will create together. The game is a science-fiction RPG, in the vein of Paper Mario or Final Fantasy. The winner(s) will be used in the game so vote for which ones you think fit the style of the game in progress, which you can see in the link at the top. (You'll need the Unity plug-in.)
We're voting on the character design and animation, not on the environments, which will be separately created by GA members.
Like other minis in the past, this contest has a 'soft deadline'. This means entries can STILL BE SUBMITTED up until the time I close voting. However, those entries will not have as much time to collect votes, so get those entries up!
Voting itself is still as easy as it's always been. Just log in with 'remember me' checked, follow the link, and place your TOP FIVE votes today (yes, it's five, not three)
