So I just thought I'd check out the new forums finally. I've been working off and on on this idea for a comic book. I called it The Winter's Breath because in the story(which I havn't completely written yet) the main character is refered to as that. She is basically an assassin who is so good that a legend springs up around her saying that when you are her target you only feel her cold as winter breath before you die.
Here are character designs I've created for it so far.

Heya thanks. It is pretty fantasy based so realism and proportions aren't that much of a concern for me heh. Infact I kinda purposely am designing the characters to be all different sizes and sometimes shapes.
These are mostly just the initial designs. I have some other sketches in my sketch book but these are what I've kinda decided on so far. Havn't really drawn up any actiony stuff yet heh. I'm not even completely sure if I'm going to keep going with this idea, I have some other stuff I'd like to do also and I just can't seem to focus on anything haha.
I forgot to mention anything about the other guys heh. The second picture is of the main bad guy, he's basically just a really tough guy...wanting to take over. The third picture is Vasmere the girl's wolf mount, they grew up together and care for one another more than anything else. the first group picture is Prince/King Boden and his council of the elements. The kid is basically the only heir to the throne of Boden left as his family is all dead. The Council was appointed as his protector. THey are each representive of an element in the world(wind, water, fire, earth, dark, light) and are very powerful because they have their own personal weeble. Weebles are the little guys in front of them and are the source of magic in the world. The other group picture is the Kingsmen. A group of elite soldiers who follow the main badguy but are the 'elite' of the boden army. there are actually 10 total, but those are the main 4, the three normal guys are the captains, and the demon is a kind of secret to everyone but the bad guy. Each of the captains command small tactical groups of 3(including themselves) in battle or missions, I was planning on just making the lower ranking kingsmen a kind of generic design soldier.

this happends to guys who like Mainly Fantasy stuff ^^" but sometime you come back to the point you stopped.
What i noticed on your work.... you maybe should try to make those characters look similar in one style, like the goods have white/blueish colord clothings and have alot of long hanging wear.
as for the bad you maybe should go the "like the Father like the Son" (or similar called) just change every bad character abit from each other.
exept if now those characters are in a different atmosphere/location. then its fine, but they should be perfectly matched to the location and have on they're design alot of use for the location. (lol)
:)

Believe it or not, that is one of the most common excuses to not learn and execute proper anatomy. What I can see in your images is that you are seriously lacking the ground basics for successful picture making.
You have clearly no knowledge of anatomy, no knowledge of composition, no knowledge of color theory and so forth. To me it looks like you just watched allot of manga and anime and warcraft and just started copying that without thinking for a second on learning the basics of picture making.
The knowledge of anatomy does not force you to not have different shapes or sizes. You can easily just use this knowledge to just accurately and convincingly pose the characters. (Clearly seen in the first image – The character looks like it has 2 small wooden legs) And still enables you to have the freedom to change the characters properties like making him fatter, smaller, etc. This is something you can’t do at the moment without proper anatomical knowledge, and that’s why I force this so much.

Most definitely, listen to EVIL. Any artist with any talent will see that you are coping-out. The way you don't draw your legs and hide everyone's hands behind there back is clearly because of lack of skill. Don't take this too harsh...we are just trying to make you better. :*

Well I cant really talk about anatomy since I suck at it too. So ill talk about your non living thing designs. No offense dude but the first two weapons just...
The daggers are a great idea but the design could be much better if shes an assasin and a famous one you should really take the time to make the weapon look like it could kick some ass. Secondly the assassins clothing, you might want to put something like a hood or something that hides part of the face. Heres a good example

Well good luck.
