i've been feeling rather coggish lately and hope to be painting in my free time after work or during lunch to get my juices flow'n and feel like an artist again.
others should feel free to drop their works in this thread.
i'd prefer you keep it digital up'n'ere. :thumb:

You are making me itch to try this out. curious, what are you using for this? photoshop or painter? My guess is photoshop since you didn't use any fancy brush strokes, but I could be wrong.

my tools:
photoshop cs2
- soft brush
- layer blend modes
wacom's intuos 2 6x8 digital tablet
techniques:
pen mode: wacom
firm pressure: wacom
100% flow, adjusting opacity as i work (num pad)
sampling color from the canvas (brush tool - alt)
introduce darker mid-value, monochromatic pallet first.
autodrawing
soft to sharp
my goal and purpose:
to relax. i'm creating with out a clear goal and without any intention of completion. to feel like an artist again.

i used to post on ca.org a few years ago, using the same moniker. i've been posting most exclusively at polycount for the last year or so. i like smaller forums where i can feel i'm up-to-date on what's going on without it becoming a huge time sink - and ca.org exploded.
