This is interesting, but I don't see how this is any different from using an off-the-shelf educational program. If they had a virtual environment and the teacher actually spoke in real-time, then perhaps this would be more interesting.

Pupils will be taught lessons via PlayStations in a futuristic new initiative.

PlayStation learning is being introduced to Holyhead School in Birmingham to help teach French, history and geography.

Technology giant Sony is using the school as a pilot for the scheme, which could be extended nationwide if successful.

Pretty cool. I wonder if there is more information about this out there somewhere. Right now, this looks very basic. I am sure there must be more to it.
