Next Minicomp Thread!

Well, The Ornate Helm comp has finished up. As promised I went through and scoured the last nextcomp thread for ideas.
I've culled the list to the ideas that sparked interests, otherwise this list will get pretty long.
Here's a standing list so far:

-fps weapon
-Impossible Creature (Lion with Lobster Claws, Zebra with Wings, Owl with a turtle shell, etc.)
-Mini Pro Wrestlers
-bust of your favorite comic/cartoon character
- Totem Pole
-Heavy Demolished Gear
-Elemental Creature
-Self-portrait


To add a new idea to the mix, Kart Racer comps are always fun!
Especially when you add cats....so how about Kitty Kart Racers?

The only thing I'm seriously championing though is that we move back to the 650 poly/512texture range for this comp.

So, let's hear those ideas, everyone!

I still like the totem pole idea. selfportrait seems fun too. impossible creature and elemental creature sound great too. actually I like pretty much all of them :p as long as the specs stay the same :D

I think that minipro wrestlers has the most votes right now, followed by kart racers. It would be nice to do something holiday related though...but if everyone wants to go wrestlers, than I'd rather stick to what people are excited about.

Hehe, yes yes, which is exactly why I'm not voicing my opinion this time :o Been ordered to do double shifts lately due to sickness in the workplace, so all I've had time to do is work, and sleep. I can assure you that after 28 hours on call at work, the last thing you want to do when coming home is turn on the PC and do 3D :uhh:

For any decent FPS weapon it's going to take much longer than any normal mini comp would run.

As for you guys shouting for DS rules--lets not go quite as low as the DS, but lets keep it in the handheld range-- 650 and a 256x seemed to work well with the last 'mini' theme

as for whether or not you can make original wrestlers or whether or not you have to make a mini-version of a real life wrestler, i'm inclined to let people do whichever they want.

Likenesses can be daunting--and making the comp only about real wrestlers isolates the concept minicomp a bit too much.

But, I think I might do a Miniundertaker!
