the water looks pretty good and the use of the light source as a means of spilling color is great. nice work. as a crit maybe to push the building back a bit with soft fog. very little though. subtle but effective change.

I totally dig this, I wonder if it would help any if you pushed the contrast between the character and the background just by darking up the background by about 15-20% more.
