What a strange creature. I like the design. Looks like a cross between a fly, scorpion and elephant. I think his mini environment is sweet too.

this is a great piece of art. If you made this for a competition, it must have been an awsome one. With an awsome moderator.

genesys : good thing you mentioned :) , the first idea was a fighter, but during the process I made it different; right now you can use it just for going to studio from home and back, and if you like you can bring it to a small weekend "creature running" competition near by. I'm not sure about the results!;).

whatever it is...its cool. looks like it might be onthe same scale as a tick--with tiny little riders.
my only comment would be on the base/pedestal--underneath the creaturs belly theres a green light that's hitting the bump/normal creating those little ridges: while it looks cool, it also kind of distracts my eyes, pulling them away from the creature itself.
anyway, cool stuff!

Really cool looking creature! :) I like the details in the skin texture and the armor? you gave him.
The only crit I have is that he seems a bit monochromatic. The colors kinda blend together throughout the model, even the armor. Maybe a bit of vatiation in hue or brightness in color would help some of the elements pop better.
Excellent work regardless. :thumb:

blankslatejoe : yes about the idea that it looks very tiny I think the reason is the texture(course texture, hope I could say what I mean)! another friend of my says the same thing; and the extraordinary light; yes man what a good thing you mentioned, now I can get why even me myself cant' focus on the creature, again thanks, I will keep this in mind.
veteehrri : glad you liked it, thanks.
Evan Smith : thanks man, yes the color variation is what this creature (I think my other models too) lacks, through this project I learned that "Color Variation" is very very important in organic (even mechanic) modeling, cheers.
