January Photo a Day thread

Rules are simple, keep the images 800 pixels max dimension, and only three a day. You can post 3 more each day, till February when I'll post a new one (if this one goes well).

Feel free to comment and critique other people's photos.

Went for a walk to work on Sunday and the weather was too good to pass up.

Quality is the way it is due to it being a mobile phone camera and not the best light-conditions. It can perform real "awesomely" sometimes :)

Its a blizzard in LA. Heres some pics of going to work on a sunny day in the middle of winter. When i turn to this street and look down it i can tell exactly how the smog is by the mountains at the far end.

Some days they are super clear
Some days they are nasty brown

A few days before i took these pics there was a lot of snow sprinkled all along the top. Was pretty cool.

last one is my favourite, not coz of the ginger hair :p but it feels 'volumes' with the blurred table in the back. The lighting feels more natural too.

yea i agree too the third is the most balanced probebly not the best peice overall I prefer #2 but the light pulls your eyes to the right ;p instead of the subject. but pretty cool overall :D I should see my first ever snow soon heres hoping for some decent pics :D

those are some quality images there poop, the subtal blue backlight is very nice makes the atmisphere very cool with the coworker image.

I really like the parade image too bad for the guy in the foreground...
