Karnaks are descendent of the Kyklopes sons of the Sky and Earth. They are giants with a single eye in the middle of there forehead. They have the ability to look into the future but only to see when they will die. If they let the death they can see happen it will be painless but if they try to avoid it their death will be excruciating. Stubborn and synonyms for their brute strength and power they usually die a painful death.

Many times mistaken as demigods. Legend has it the locals offered lamb sacrifices in their name. Not realizing the lambs they sacrificed were of the flock which they was entrusted to protect. This enraged the giants who from that moment on vowed to spend the rest of their days plundering and pillaging every village they came across in revenge. They have been known to wear part of their conquests on themselves as trophies and armor.

That’s a very cool scenario you worked up there; hopefully we can see some cool concepts or model work to support it soon.:)

Here is a rough sketch... Kind of bare at the moment and still tweaking the design a little but should give a fairly good idea where I am going with this. Model will have allot more stuff attached to it. Considering to cover up almost 90% with parts. I will probably tone down the muscles a little too.

it seems huge! even without the human referencing for the scale, nice job :)

Had some time to work on the concept a little more and try and rough out my proportions. Think I am going to keep the environment attachments to a minimum for now until I can get a better sense of how much polies will be eaten up by it.

Figured I would start blocking it out to get a better feel of the proportions. Blocked out without the environments (minus the head) to see his actual body shape. Currently at 1820 tris. The environment attachments seem to hide his exaggerated proportions. May have to make them even bigger. Will see once I block them out… Curious to see what you all think of it at this stage. Suggestions comments and crits welcome. ;)

Currently at 2200 tris. Played around with the proportions a little more to get a nice medium between my first concept and my second one. Cleaned up my mesh and now going to start working on the environment attachments. Constructive suggestions comments and crits always welcome.

Got the head environment attachments modeled. Decided to go with a shed for the head since I want to keep the head small. Added an accent window to the cone roof over the mouth so it’s easier to understand what it is. Transparent areas will have alfas of broken boards. Head environment attachments tri total: 483

Tweaked the body a little more. May make him a little fatter seeing as he seems to have lost some of his mass with my tweaking... Body tri total: 2274

This is a strange one. I wonder if making his feet and hands large still works if you put in a human beside him? A small human might make his exagerated proportions look impossible because if his feet looks like small mountains, it would be impossible for him to walk. Same thing for the hands.

Besides this, everything else is shaping up nicely. It will be interesting to see how you finish this one.

Updated the image with a human in it so you can see the scale. He is just under 150 feet tall, his feet are barely 30 Feet…

On a side note: You know where a giant with mountain size feet walks... anywhere they want... :D

 Have to put this on hold for about a week due to a recent project I got. So not going to be able to give it as much love as I want to but I think I should still be able to bust out something when I get back to it.

edit: Nope not going to be able to complete it in time... oh well I will continue working on it after the fact anyway...
