Prizes?

I looked through the site and didn't see this question posted. I am a little confused on the prizes for the competition (not that I expect to take any). But if you win the grand prize, which is $2,000, and a $1,000 in dvds, does that automatically make you the 1st place winner of yoru individual site, giving you also the ps3 or what not? I think that would be a little overkill, and limit the prizes for the other competitiors that fought hard in this war. I hope this makes sense, and If you could get back to me on this Fred, I would appreciate it.

However, here is the catch, if this judge would have made all his champions polycountynian, he is still giving points to different artists for his favorites. So, in essence, champions and favorites might not be synched in the end:)

Hey Fred, thanks for laying out some more info on this. I am still kinda lost on the final way you are going to do things, as it seems like people can win two sections. I personally would like it if you place in one section (championship), then you would no be able to win in the individual site section. Opening it up to more people who entered the competition, as I thought this was the reason behind the championship section, being different from the individual site placing, but this is your competition so of course it's your choice:).

so as I get it right, the top 10 champions wil win stuff, and for each team's (polycount, cgchat, cgsociety and 3dtotal) top 3 also gets prizes.

So, if you are Rawkstar (from your example), you win the 1st Grand Champion and another 1st Team best prize?

Yup, double prizes are given to those who are a champion and a fav.

So looking at this judge's votes, yes, if these were the final scores, rockstar would win twice. He'd get cash, many many dvds, and a ps3.
