Some very bad bull crap happened here in Maryland, stupid state is charging a 6% tax on "computer services" so basically most technology sectors are going to be hit hard. Most clients won't take the 6% hit and neither will the companies so most likely its going to either mean layoffs or comapnies moving. Either way, its going to be bad for anyone involved in the technology sectors in Maryland.

So for anyone stuck in this stupid state, heads up.

Wow that doesn't seem smart at all... why would a state drive those companies out...

that is possibly the most backwards thing i have ever seen a government do.

"Hey, how can we screw up the economy AND drive business away at the same time?"

No kidding guys. All its going to do is make bigger companies look else where to get there needs filled while the guys in Maryland are going to lose out in the end. There's a big protest slated for February 27th to protest this. Not sure how many of the big companies are going to march. Here's some more info for anyone interested:

Damn, I didn't realise how big the game scene was there.

Bethesda, Big Huge Games, Day 1, and Firaxis are some of the big ones affected.

I'd definately like to hear the logic behind this.
