O.K. Just starting over again on the official entry thread. Just throwng my hat in the ring here folks.This is on the right lines for me but there will probably be lots of changes. I don't like the boots they will change and the gun is naff so that will also be different needs to be alot more scary and he will have more tatts. Havn't got a back story for him the only thing i have is he is holding the beating heart of a white stag the ancients Celts believed this animal to be mystical and from the other side (he keeps it in his sporran of course). Have a look tell me what you think.

Just a bit of practice on colour its been a long time since I did any 2d but its improving every day

Spent some time cutting back on the weapons (did'nt realise he had so many) and refining the two he is going to have the gun fires crossbow bolts and big f*&% off bullits the staff still needs some stuff added to it. Quite like it now although he is nowhere near big enough on the top half have to start fixing that.

Looking good Man...I like the direction your taking it ...it looks like your still working out some of the little things here and there ...I definitely think the last sketch of him is the best as far as his clothing and weapons are concerned....

although imo....When I see this guy he reminds me of this ancient Scottish warrior that would have some kind of either club, sword, big axe, or big crossbow (saw that crossbow in your first sketch by the way).....for hand to hand combat...also he reminds me of someone from back in the day....ancient but without the aged feel...the first sketch looked a little modern in his weaponry I am assuming you intended that...imo though he seems like he would lend himself more to the old school type of weaponry (They had some pretty brutal weapons back in the day too!) especially for this competition......I could be wrong though....or you could go the magic route and make him some buffed up type magical dwarf idk...just throwing some thoughts out there..:)...cool stuff though

This is a really cool character boldboy. Really enjoy your sketches of this guy - cool gear too. On the colors - I think they look cool but I think they feel a little too traditional. I would maybe play around with stepping away from the traditional Celtic/Scottish look and toy around with putting in some darker cooler colors in there - maybe some dark browns and blues, more forest green - maybe a bit of purple/black - just to see how it might change the mood of the character. Also, maybe it's the look you're going for but the bright red/yellow boots sort of remind me of Ronald McDonald's shoes - maybe desaturate or hue those suckers just a bit?

Really nice work man, I think the white stag heart idea is awesome. :)
