Hi, this is my first time posting here. I found out about this contest on CA.org and figured I'd give it a shot. I don't have any of my thumbs scanned yet, but I have some work on the illustration done.

The idea is that its arms are actually giant staircases, and it sits below a cliff holding them together to lead to the gate above. If any trespassers set foot on the stairs, however, the figure rises and tries to crush them

Any crits or comments will be appreciated. I look forward to seeing everyone's entries finished.

I like how the angel of the arms are, they look like as if they point into some sort of focal point, I would use that for an advantage of the final Illustration, try some different compositions. Nice work.
