I got a case about a game modeling and texture.
2 character, several bulding and objects

And then, they need a pricing for the work required. But there are much differences of the price between different areas.

Dose anybody can give a idea about Range of the price of game modeling and texture in US or UK?

Also, How can i give them a price naturally, or how can i got the price of they reasonable price.:brick:

Think of it like this:

Give yourself proper time estimates on all of them. Then pro-rate it to your desired salary.

Keep in mind contractors do NOT pay their tax to the government, so you need to include that in your asking price (if you plan to report it). They also don't pay for things like healthcare, dental, vacation time, so you'll need to factor those into your asking price as well.

I've never done a videogame model contract before, but I think $3-4000 per character isn't unreasonable for a high quality asset.

Also, make sure you charge for revisions.

Ask around. You might get better opinions though.

Work out your cost per hour, $20-30 per hour or what ever, then work out the time you estimate for all the work, then add 1/4 or 1/3 the number of hours you estimate, as you will likely underestimate and your quotation needs to cover you this will give you your estimate, so say for example you think $20 per hour is the value and you think it will take 100 hours, add 1/4 so 25 more hours, then times $20 by 125 and you get $2500 that just an example, it depends what you consider your hourly wage. Give them a fair estimate and if they accept it do it, If not be prepared to walk away.

hm...you are not out of the dominance war, right?
wait about the results.
if you have a good place (top 10), i think you can take a higher price. ^^

i know, but i think a 3D artist who have a place in the top 10 of the biggest gameartist event, can take a higher price.
it shows your skills, your creativity and your ability to work under specification and time.

i hope its understandable what i mean.
my english is bad ^^
