Read a very interesting story on game politics that I thought I would share.

Ya I've been following that guy in the news for years when this story came up I just laughed with glee. Especially in the face of UK studies blatently disproving the link between violent video games and violent children.. In fact it even went as far as to say those that aren't playing the video games are lacking a release valve and have more violent tendancies than the kids who are playing them..
Thompson is just a right wing nutbag who has lost all perspective and needs to be slapped back into reality

To resurrect a dead thread.....
The legal career of anti-game crusader Jack Thompson is to come to an end.
It was previously reported that Thompson was recommended a ten-year "enhanced disbarment" from the Florida Bar in connection to his 27 guilty counts of misconduct. It turns out that the recommendation was later upgraded by the Bar to full-blown permanent disbarment and the court presiding over Thompson's case concurred, according to Kotaku.
Thompson now has thirty days to close out his practice--in "the interests of existing clients." Adding to his problems, "no motion for rehearing will be considered unless signed by a member in good standing of The Florida Bar other than [Thompson]." That is, if Thompson wants to seek a retrial, he has to have another Bar member vouch for him--something no one has done in his current trial. (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/54911)
Yeah. Permanent disbarment. This sure left me with a guilty grin. Whatta douche. :)
