GameArtisans.org is proud to present to you, it's 2nd competition. In celebration of June 8th, this astonishing day that shall not go unnoticed. Artists will create characters and concept art in support of the 159th day of the year. Classic topics include: "The last sighting of English climber George Mallory - seen 800 feet from the summit of Mount Everest during his third attempt to become the first man to conquer the world's highest mountain.", "Founder of Islam dies", "In Britain, Margaret Bondfield becomes the first woman Cabinet Minister when she is appointed Minister of Labour." and "Australian opera singer Dame Nellie Melba gives her final stage performance at Covent Garden in London."

Critics say it will not only be the most diverse, but also the most challenging competition known to man.

Scorpions are cool, but spiders:confused: Also, I still can't understand why a lot of women are afraid of mice. They are the cutest creatures on the planet. I can't even imagine what a nightmare with mice would look like...

Ha! Huh....it's hard for me to be afraid of things smaller than me...that's sounds so macho and arrogant but I don't mean it to be :uhh:. I am really a big sissy. I think it would be hard/neat to create in 3d some abstract things that people are afraid of such as falling and failing (both are my phobias :p )

I can't even imagine what a nightmare with mice would look like...

Ever see shows of mice swarms from the discovery channel or TLC? I think that might be pretty nightmarish, especially if I wasn't expecting to see 3,000,000 mice come running at me from a grain silo. Yikes...

Looking forward to the next competition as well. How long will we have to work on it? Didn't the BHG competition run for two months or so? I remember hearing about it, forgetting about it, and entering during the last week :) I haven't done many comps yet either, so I'm curious for how much time is usually given.

3 million mice:eek: Anything with that many numbers would make for an entertaining nightmare. I once got stuck in a new years crowd in china... that was scary:confused: A horror dawns on you when you realize you can be crushed in an instant and there is nothing you can do to escape it.

Peter --> Next comp will run for 4 weeks. If all goes well, it will start this Friday, if things don't go well, I'll need a small extension to get it started:D

whatever the 2nd comp is Im just hoping that it gets started soon, seriously quite eager to redeem myself of that botched entry in the last comp. The results and the next comp will be delayed until next week. Once the results are up, they will remain up for one day before I completely shut down gameartisans.org for a few days. This next comp will require some severe changes to.. everything:)

Dario, a month in Brazil isn't a vacation, its a dream. Take a camera with you and take lots of pictures, then start up a thread and post them things. Make sure you take pictures while at the beach. Please.

The official competition will start on Monday, however, to be nice, I will release the brief, and only the brief, today. This will give everyone the weekend to think about their ideas.

I will not release the prizes info today... but rest assured, they will be nice;) And concept artists will be happy too;)
