MiniComp#13 Gateway to the Afterlife Voting Booth Open!

Public Voting for GateWay to the Afterlife is up and ready. Voting is open from now until Thursday, mid-night-ish!

This is the first contest that we've had something called a 'soft deadline', which has been designed to take advantage of a few shortcomings in the submission system. This means entries will continue to be submitted between now and Thursday, with the advantage of those artists taking more time to polish their work, but at the disadvantage of possibly receiving less votes.

Regardless, voting itself is still as easy as it's always been. Just log in with 'remember me' checked, follow the link, and place your votes today!

meiz, man i dont know about you, but heat/humidity kills in this reformed swamp that i live in.

It be cool if updating of entries was available, so you can submit at the deadline but update your entry as you update, without having to bug the moderator

Hmm... That flexible deadline thing is bound to affect voting. There were only 5 entries when I voted. Now, there are 8. My votes haven't changed, but I can see how somebody else's might.

yep...it gives an advantage to those who submitted earlier, but late entries might still be able to pick up a lot of votes.

I'm new to the forums but I've been following the mini comps since #11. I loved the gateway idea. I started building a scene but didn't complete in time because I went out of town. Look forward to the next one though.

Kirilot's was really great, i loved the feel of the piece, i really wanted to find out what was emitting that green light haha.
I think the sign of a fantastic environmental piece is generating a desire or curiosity in the player to really explore the environment
