I started up zbrush tonight and for some reason my models are all blocky/fuzzy looking...Is there some way to reset the resoultion in zbrush back to default or something? It's really hard to sculpt when mmy model is not smooth so I'm hoping this is a common error.........Anyone know how to fix it?

Hello wilkins. So far this sounds to me like you have zoomed to the model. try hit the "actual size" button on the pallette on the right side. And instead of "zoom" use "scale" to get closer look of the model.

Hope it helped.

ghost seems right...it cleared up the res quite a bit too just scale th model way up, instead of zooming...thankyou, i'll post again with an image if my problems continue...

yeah zbrush is a funny beast, I havent found the zoom function to be useful for anything really, the scale function is what you will be constantly playing with and in my experience for some reason zbrush will get slower the larger you scale the object.

The zoom function is actually pretty helpful. I've found that there are times when scaling in and out simply doesn't get you close enough to those smaller details. Zoom may make things a little blocky, but it certainly allows you the extra comfort of close up precision. It's worthless for super fine details, but it's immensely helpful when trying to tweak things up close where scale itself might be useless.

If you are still working with a tiny window that hardly fills your screen, you can do this:

Go to document in the taskbar, then new document, make sure you've saved your tool first, you have to do this with an empty screen. Next go document again, scroll the resolution up to the size of your screen and hit resize. then load your tool in again and you'll have a bigger window to work with.
