Main Challenge #5 - Comicon Results

Big Congrats goes to everyone who entered the Comicon Challenge and especially to those who made it into the seriously hard top 10 placements! Since there were over 100 3d entries, for the first time on GameArtisans.org, the amount of finalists have been raised to 10. Each member of the top 10 Finalists, including concept artists, will receive this special icon to commemorate their achievement in the largest Main Challenge on GameArtisans.org.

really really impressive competition, I did participate but did not finish, max messed up on me and I had a bit to go anyway, still gotta rig and pose my deadpool and make a base. Congrats, one and all. Interesting choices. I'm actually surprised. My money would have been on DiegoMaia's Ultimate Captain America or ThatDon's Wolverine. I liked the 1st place winner too, but I guess I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to the original designs. As a redesign, it was amazing though.

A good amount of artisans on this board already make characters for retail games!
The difference is, they only get 1-2 weeks per character, whilst during this comp, everyone got about good month.

And about the community award, well, I was just pumped about the comp but it's a great honor!

To continue what shady said, guys who are artists in the industry keep it up. I know how deadlines and publishers work and i appriciate everything you guys do. For the most part for the amount of time you guys get for things you pump out some really nice stuff. Was awesome to see the chains come off you guys hands and see your real level of awesomeness. Thanks for coming to this board and inspiring guys like me and taking the time to help guys like me.

I'm still surprised Rawkstar and Grassetti didn't crack the top 10 with their entries. But thats likely more of a testament to how difficult it was to judge, and how solid the entries were.
