hello there,

Alright so this is my first character in all it's beauty.

This is what I'm aiming for in the makeover. It's pretty far away but it's called EXTREME Makeover right? ;)

I like B best so far, then comes A. The police would only be on the back if i go for A.

some response regarding the amount of change would be great.

So long,

Stefan

Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty extreme make over...perhaps too much? But yeah, I like the second guys belt buckle.

Btw, I saw you webby, good stuff.

You're going from medevil demon knight to Evil Warthog Swat dude with a ball and chain... that's extreme! I'd say stick with the medevil theme... that way it will closer resemble your character rather than looking like totally different character with different features.

Have to agree with the above, you really flung your bat, not the ball, out of the ball park with this one. The face is a good start, but switching time periods is kind of overkill. There is so much potential in keeping your piece in the fantasy zone, hope you will be up to the challenge of finding what can make him much much better.

(I like number 2:) )

alright so be it.

I'll take some elements of number 2 then and try to switch back to medival age :)

glad you cleared things up fred

back to the middle age

FIRST ITERATION

I'm pretty happy with the shoulder guard and the cape. The rest clearly needs work. Everybody is doing this wild capes these days :)

UPDATE

I'm pretty happy with it. Maybe add a weapon to the belt or change the quite boring ball to something else. Big complex war staff maybe :)

The latest update is cool. My concern is it appears that he has evolved human feet.

hmm i see. I have tried the other feet but it didnt look good. But so much freedom should be possible, right?

at least I'm not doing the biker dude anymore ^^

Changing the feet are fine:) I am glad to see that you brought him back in the medieval era. I can't really think of anything else you should add on him except maybe a more interesting metal ball at the end of his chain. Otherwise, I think this would be a really good base to start your 3d from:thumb:

Good to know that it could be changed. Maybe instead of a ball, you could something similar to this:

thx fred I'm also pretty happy about it.

@gods phoenix

VERY NICE suggestion. Definetively thinking about it.

Here's some more.

the scribble lines are a hint to a war staff. Something impressive looking with wild shapes, skulls, glows and so on. In RPG games a la WOW i always found the war staff the best looking weapons. But will be hard to crunch all this stuff into the polycount ^^

still playing around with ideas...

shoulders on fire.. WOW style ;)

edit: updated pic

But I fell this might be a bit too much and doesnt has the "spirit" of the original character anymore if there was any ;)

quick test of normal mapped chains wrapped around 8sided cylinder.

changing the flawed proportions. Still not quite there but I will use a ryu model (Pierre Burgeot) as reference and get to modeling now. This has the proportions that I'm looking for quite down. I know it's better to use real world reference but in this case it will work out pretty good i think since it's a really nice sculpt :)
I changed the head size of it slightly and changed position too.
I think this will turn out pretty good if I make it to the finish line :)

don't know if i even include a weapon. will be enough detail already to sqeeze into a 1024. lets see...

This would be a great model to start with, however, I kind of like the belt area in your concept on post #14. I like that the skull overlaps the belt a little. In your latest one, the skull looks so tiny and it's in the middle of nowhere. If you made the skull touch the belt, it would look grounded to something. Aside from that, things are progressing smoothly. Keep up the good work:thumb:

I liked the biker influence even though it was a departure from the original, but if anything I’d go full Soul Caliber on this guy! Hopefully in the modeling stage we can see how the proportions will play out since it's tough to get an idea fro the concept alone. I hope to see more of him soon.:)

I like the medieval one. And I like the proportions on that sculpt. I think all together would be great. :)
