GameArtisans.org's Galleries (http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/galleries/index.php) are now operational:cool: I am sure it will take a while for them to fill up, but I am looking forward to the day I can casually browse through them and find inspired game art created by game art enthusiasts around the world.

A few notes and guidelines:

Public viewers:
- You can filter galleries that most likely have nothing in them by checking "Only show members with Gallery Thumbnails" in your search options.

Artisans:
- You can access your control panel page - here (http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/artist/index.php) -

- The first thing you want to do is upload a gallery thumbnail. It must be 148wide x 120high. You can do this - here (http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/artist/thumbnail.php)-

- You can upload up to 10 personal non-competition related works by going - here (http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/artist/artwork.php) -

- To edit your contact info, your real name, bio, email, website etc, you must enter this info in your forum usercp - here (http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/profile.php?do=editprofile) -

- To upload a profile image of yourself, you can do this - here (http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/profile.php?do=editprofilepic) -

- To edit and submit revised competition entries or to submit wallpapers, press on the little red nuts-and-bolts image on the right of each competition.

That's it. Hope you like them:)

when i click there it gives me this page:

http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/artist/non-artisan.htm

i thought i would be able to post non-competition art but it gives me no access. that would mean galleries are only for artists who participated in competitions ?

btw, when i click on the galleries link on top it goes to search right away. i would suggest that when you click on galleries it should show all the artists and then have search as a sub-feature.

wakakaka!!!

that's my own language, and it means: you rock Fred! [yeah, one word language till now]. the only bummer is that there is no "next/previous" on the gallery images... but that hardly compares to the crapload of awesomness on the other end!

Good idea to have users participate in an event to be eligible to obtain a gallery of there own :).

Keep up the good work.

mashru --> Yup, galleries are only there for those who finish a comp. These galleries were made with the intention of rewarding artists for finishing a comp. Comps are not easy, so if someone finishes, they deserve a nice place of their own where people can easily find everything they have done. In the future, there will be a few small additions, but they will most likely remain for certified finalists only.

About the search page, that's a good idea. I will look into it:thumb:

Sinz, indian, ultemate, miezis, thanks guys. Glad you like them so far:)
