the louvre museum statue photo reference gallery

hi everyone,

last month i was in paris, the trip was mostly dedicated to museums. i was in rodin, louvre, d'orsay, trocadero archetecture and marine museums... i decided to put the statues photos from the louvre, i also have paintings reference but it is not as complete as the statues one.
ther are 360 photos on my site, so use it but dont abuse it! i dont want my poor BW to die. the photos include magical statues from the greek, rome, egypt eras.

ooh, awesome you guys like it.

right now i am hosting it on my site, but if this goes well i realy hope that more people will use these, i have a few more galleries that i uploaded. but i am not releasing them just yet, i want to see if my site's bw can handle this.eventually i would like to upload the full highres pics, they are quite big tbh. the original jpegs are 2000x3000 pix. this is why you are getting a highres but not the highest res, so right now its 1000x1000 (sort of) and the file sizes are around 200k and not a few MBs.

anyway if people actually use this on a regular basis (will check the site stats) and if my 20gb BW wont be enough i'll have to think of some other plan, maybe upgrade the package some how.

what do you guys think, is this enough or what ?
do you guys want some of the painting references that i took from those museums ?

this gallery has 360 files, the rest of the (4) galleries hold 1000 more jpegs. and that can take its toll on the site if i release it too early.

Great work on the reference, really appreciate it! Don't be afraid to use free file storage for packages of the high res photos to save your bandwidth and to have lower resolution images on the site itself. What a great resource, Thankyou!

The First pic is of the Musee Dorsee (sorry, the Rodin sculptures were right behind me, the Gates of Hell are absolutely amazing).

Unfortunately I didn't get enough pics for full 360 degree stitches of the Second French Sculpture Garden

I Stitched together the Peter Paul Reubens Room, but it really needs to be over 10,000 pixels wide to properly view the paintings with any degree of recognizability.
