Hi folks,

I was rendering some stuff and in while waiting I was drawing a bit. Now I like the drawing and I want to color them. Problem, I'm not a big hero when it comes to coloring. The problem is, I dont know where to start, on what to focus? Some ideas?

are you using traditional or digital methods? If it's a tradition color pencil or paint, then generally I'll make a small thumbnail and see what color combinations work. If it's digital you can scan in the pic and start working big areas. Block in the large color masses first and try to resist noodling all the detail in beforehand. It's preference, but I do the light source after I'm done. Also sometimes it's a good trial to stay in the monochromatic to determine shape and folds...hope that helps.

But what kind of layer type do you use? If you start blocking big color you're gonna lose you're sketch. Do I need to put it on multiply? The problem i see than, is that If I use a darkbleu background(multipy) and I use red in my figure, than the red looks...not good.

I would recomend Bugmeyer's channel on youtube, more precisely the first two videos and the "deleting white from a drawing". Here.... (http://br.youtube.com/user/Bugmeyer)
