Found this really neat homebrew application for the Nintendo DS called Colors! (http://collectingsmiles.com/colors/), and damn it's one neat little piece of software. It's developed by Jens Andersson at Starbreeze (http://www.starbreeze.com/home.jsp), and has a few nice features, such as pressure sensitivity (I didn't know the DS supported that) and timelapse playback.

For my very first piece I of course tried my hands on the GameArtisans.org logo, as you can see attached. I kinda ran out of space at the end.. :p I also recorded a quick timelapse video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=xMWbdjkcGn0) which you can find over at YouTube.

If any of you guys have a DS and can run homebrew, I highly recommend this little thing to play around with :) Oh, and for the sake of full disclosure.. well.. I have nothing to disclose, I don't know Jens :p

Edit: Oh, and there's also a gallery available (http://colors.brombra.net/index.php?page=1) where people have submitted their own works of art.

Niice! I am also kind of shocked that the ds has pressure sensitivity. If you didn't say it, I would never have believed it.

The funny thing is the pressure sensitivity works better and is more responsive than that of my now aging Wacom Intuos2..

Has anyone seen it being used in a game? I can imagine there being lots of uses for it, but so far I haven't played a single game utilizing it.

I so want a DS right now! I emulated it via an emulator and is works a bit .. well slow because the NDS emulatoirs aren't as good as the GBA ones yet. but it looks like it would work really well on a DS.
