Hi guys! :) I decided to practice more in 2d, guess classic painting will help me get better understanding of color theory and make my textures better, so here my Fairy concept.
Those lines from magic wand are temporarily just to show an atmosphere of future image, I repaint them more accurately later.
I want to go with watercolor or something like that for her, I'm not very experienced with colors, so I think it will take me some time before I can come up with un update. Also I want to have a lot of fabric with different
transparensy, to make an image air and super fairy look.
Thats gonna be very hard for me I think, cos I'm stupid with colors
Comments and crits are welcome :inocent:

As always, your line work is always very clear and good looking. I like how things have come together in this one, however, her expression is a little bland. She seems to be staring somewhere in the distance and it looks like she doesn't care about what she is looking at. What if you made her look at her staff's glowing head? This would make it look like she is summoning it's power and it would give some more feeling to your picture. Besides this, I really like everything else. If you are having trouble with colors, perhaps try to find a painting who's colors you think would look nice on yours. You can then use this reference painting to get you started on this one.
Hope you will finish her:)

Thank you Fred, your advices were always very helpful for me :)
I agree by changing her looking point, I could make my image more interesting and live

I saw your entry in the extreme makeover challenge and I have to say, your line work looks really good. Same goes for this piece. The only thing that worries me are your thick blue ribbons with stars. They seem so thick right now, that it makes your character look very tiny. I know she is a fairy so she probably should be tiny to begin with, but fairies shouldn't wear or have human sized things on them. This sort of makes it look wrong... like she is wearing wrong sized clothes. Except for this, you are doing a very good job. Looking forward to seeing more:)

:) if I understood you right and you are talking about those trails from magic wand, those are not ribbons, that just some magic stuff coming from magic wand, I dont how you call tham :), I know they look a little bit weird, but as I mentioned before I'll repaint them later.

Hey :) Finally my pre final update, still have to work on the shadows and lights. It 's shame to say but all my time I was playing TRA:Anniversary, I have a stupid habit, once I installed a good game I cant think about nothing else till I complete it  .
I tried to change her eyes, but as you guys can see I coudnt, I think without rotatting and repainting her head I will not be able to achieve right result, but I'm too lazy for that..

Looking really nice Alexisys. It looks much better without the magic trails in front of everything. These trails made her look really tiny when they were in. However, as a side effect, I think your wand looks less magical now. Are you planning on putting some extra glows around the entire wand? Besides this, everything is coming together very nicely. The colored face came out really well. Hope you will finish her:)

Thank you Fred :) Actually yes, I'm going to add some more glow stuff on her wand..and maybe something else like flowers and other things...
I'm just a bit tired with her
Some flowers would be a nice addition, but, if you really want to go overboard, some black silhouettes of rooftops could be interesting as well:D Aside from this, I think you already did a nice job. Careful with the wand's top, those white glow lines look a bit flimsy. You might need to look for some diamond advertising references to find some nice looking glows.
