Hello friends.
My name is Henrik Poulsen and I am a third year game programming student at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden.
Our class has started our large game project, which spans from November to the end of May, and we have decided that we wish to participate in Swedish Game Awards -09 (http://gameawards.se).
For this purpose we are looking for 3d Artists willing to make 3d models for the game we are making.
Since this is a school project we cannot guarantee much in ways of money, but we do have a certain budget we have access to buy resources for, however do not count on this being a satisfactory sum.
I have great respect for 3d Artists and if it were up to me I would throw all the cash in the world your way for help with our project, though sadly this isn't an alternative.

However if you want to get some of your work into a game which will make it into the eyes of swedish game developers then I hope you will consider helping us.

We are nine game programmers who will be working on this full time up until the swedish game awards deadline in March 24th 2009.
We have worked on this project for a month now and do have quite alot of interesting stuff going on.

We have utilized Bullet Physics and have realistic Rigid and Soft Body collisions
We hade used fmod for playing of 2D and 3D positional sound with occlusion objects.
A basic potential field AI which will have individual behavior for each NPC in the game.
Python integration for creation of a powerful event system in an attempt to keep gameplay unique
The beginnings of full network support, since the game is two player co-op
And finally a DirectX 10 Engine developed by me since June -08 which will be used in the project

Figure you might want to know a little something about the game as well, since I dont expect it would be fun to help us if the project wasnt amusing.
The game is called "Transcendence" and is a two player co-op horror game.
It is set in the year 1890 and you play as Adam, a journalist with his own occult column in a large newspaper, & Jane, a freelance "monster hunter".

The game will be set up in a large hotel out in the middle of nowhere, where rumors have emerged that some unusual things have happened (heard that one before huh? ;) )
So they go there to investigate the occurences. Adam, as a critic who doesnt really believe in paranormal stuff, and Jane, who knows that paranormal activities are real and is on a journey to find her husband whom got involved in a paranormal event.
The plans are that this will be a survival horror game where you use real-time physics to survive situations, rather than having machine guns and rocket launchers.

What we specifically need help with is our NPCs.
Modeling, texturing, rigging, animation and all of that. Although, if you only want to do modeling, it would still help us a lot and be highly appreciated.

Help will not be refused when it comes to other models in the game either, such as furniture and so on. All help is needed.

If this sounds interesting or you want to know more about something, then do not hesitate to post.

We will be putting together a small youtube clip in the next couple of days that shows how far we have come in the first month.
I will make sure to post it here when its done.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions about our project.

Hello again.
Small status update. No in-game clip to show as of yet. Though I did find out how large our budget is.

It is around $1600, and we can use it for whatever we want for the project.
So if anyone wants some extra cash and would be interested in making some Tim Burton-esque 3d game characters over the next couple of months don't hesitate to contact me.
