Hellooo,

Well we recorded some new mocap data the other day and now need to rotate it. So I naturally presume, add a new layer, rotate. No. Every time I do it, it does some sort of strange jump. How can I stop this?

Link to a screen capture I made of it to better explain the problem (WMP plays the file... VLC doesn't)....

ANY help would be appreciated. :)

Cheers guys

You can use biped offset mode for this. It's the small icon that looks like a circle with a arrow pointing right. Shown here as the far right button on the second row from the top:

this'll bring up a little dialog box that lets you rotate the biped and all animation on it - it only works on the bottom layer

if the suggestion above doesn't work, and you have more animations layers
You could try

Creating a Null
Place it underneath the biped's root
Parent the Bip01 or the biped's root to the Null.

Rotate null to the preferred orientation.
