You seem to have a nice natural instinct to color and can render nice soft surfaces (such as the girls face). Although as far as painting is concerned I do have to say that overall your brush strokes are far to soft. As a general suggestion try to use a hard edged brush to lay down a solid foundation to build value/form and chisel away at it. As a cliffnote the more gradient you put on a surface obviously displays the smoother/rounder the form.
Also your compositions tend to be very 'centered' and the characters cut off the frame at somewhat odd proportioning. Given there are 2 variations per each I am assuming this is a concept of sorts and if so don't be afraid to show the entire body and describe forms clearly.
Keep up the practice and you will go far.

Definately a large step in a better direction I feel.
Still some comments:
-Watch the anatomy/placement/proportion on the face. Don't be afraid to use some referance.
-Still some issue on the edge control though this is much better. Also the 'smoke' or blurry brush strokes on the outer portions of the character are really not working here I think.
Great work still, keep it up :)
