EDIT: Hmm. Knocking the color resolution down to 16 bit seems to have gotten rid of the problem. I guess I'll just have to change it whenever I play Bioshock.

Aparently this makes it my move, scale, and rotate tools disappear completely in some of my viewports though ><

Ever since I installed the latest nvidia driver for my 7300 gs, I've been getting this weird error in Maya's High Quality Rendering mode:

The problem also shows up similarly in the Default Rendering mode in that, I'll be able to see it properly when I'm rotating or panning with the alt key, but when I stop those functions, it resets to my last view.

Maximizing the viewport, and then minimizing it again will allow me to see the last view update I made, but the problem returns again after only a few camera movements.

I've tried rolling back the driver to last month's release, but that didn't work either. Is there a button I accidentally hit that screwed me up somewhere, or somekind of alternate driver solution to this?

The problem lay with the nvidia display drivers, and Maya not being compatible with certain Nvidia video cards. Turning off threaded optimization in my Nvidia control panel fixed the problem.
