General Overview of the Position
Develops and deploys systems for use internally and on the Codemasters websites. Supports billing and customer services enquiries
Main duties and responsibilities:
Maintain the company web servers (software installation, maintenance)
Database administration
Develop and maintain web-based systems
Play an active part in producing system designs
Work through systems surgery tasks as allocated by the senior systems programmer
Respond to customer service enquiries within the agreed inter-department SLA
Develop reports according to the needs of the business
Essential Requirements:
Good standard of General Education
At least 6 months relevant Online Development experience.
Experience documenting systems
PHP (Scripting)
MySQL
Relational database design
Knowledge of web standards and browser compliancy
Basic systems admin skills with Windows and Linux-based platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to manage own time
Must be self motivated
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Able to pro-actively put forward ideas
Team player with flexibility when required
Willing to undertake further training to fulfill the requirements of the role
Desirable:
Educated to degree level in computing related field
Experience working with customer service departments
XML, XSLT
MSSQL
Java
HTML to V4 including JavaScript
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
Knowledge of .net
Willing to work additional hours to meet the demands of the role
