Well, it just happened recently, but there's something annoying that when I select a move tool (translate/rotate/scale etc) I don't have to use the handles in order to move stuff, I can just drag on the actual object and it moves. Turns out this is incredibly annoying, and it makes things hard to select if you happen to accidentally click on another object. Things like drag selecting verts becomes impossible without having to go out of the way to hide everything.
So, is there something I'm missing or a way to fix this? Oh yeah, I'm using Maya 2008.
