Congrats all super cute entries, there should be a marker somewhere to revisit past compettions I would have liked to try my hand at this one and a few others even though I'm not a concept artist ;).

I wouldn't take it too hard man, your work's pretty good I think sometimes in these competitions people just go by "feel" rather than really absorbing everything that went into the piece.

Last mini-comp I was dead last and this time I'm right smack in the middle, so yeah it can get pretty random. :)

The votes only reflect how the community feels who the top 5 are. If you're not in the top 5 then the numbers cant be used to determine your true "ranking". So look at it this way, you came joint 6th along with 29 other people.

Thank for comment. I think maybe there are also other reasons for example maybe be ent isn't monster enough. Maybe i didn't got the theme or something like that. Just need tipps to grow better :)

ilegacy - this is just my opinion, but I think the decision to do an Ent wasn't quite fitting the theme of this competition. When I think of movie monsters, what comes to mind are more creature-like things - Godzilla, and Kong, and classic movie monsters like Dracula and the werewolf and the creature from the black lagoon, as well as more modern monsters like the Alien and PRedator. Even if I only think about LotR, there are a number that come to mind first - the Balrog, Orcs, Trolls, Shelob, Gollum. Ents don't stick in my mind as a monster, really, especially as they were good guys. And then you get stuck with painting a tree. It's really stiff and wooden. It's supposed to be, I mean you did a fine job portraying a baby tree, but being wooden, it doesn't have the kind of posing and cuddliness that just about every other non-wooden entry had some amount of. Anyhow, just my thoughts on your entry because you asked, hope you don't mind.

Yeah Walrus:..you got me there:) A few days more and honestly I would have been here.Discovering a great community here!GA, these minicomps & stuff, they really helps you to just do stuff & progress with people really sharing.
A bit sad by the way we can't change sides between the minis & the big DW.
Would have liked to do the mini in here with you guys.:/
