Hey guys, I ran into some problem while working, so decided to ask a help from you. I want to know your opinions about what is the best way of uv mapping in leaving a seam of the shirt? I mean where is the best place of leaving a seam.

I was uv mapping my shirt and after a lot of tests and attempts of uv mapping I'm still not sure about the best way of uv mapping a shirt. I've made a picture of my model and marked three areas. Shirt is from two parts body and collar. Those are going to use the same color and detail level (material and so forth). I'm still not sure where I should split shirt whether on area 1 or 2 and what do you think whether area 3 (collar) should be completely sepetarated from the body? It's kind of confusing when you are doing this. :brick:

put them just where the original seams of the shirt are, your sketched in seams are looking fine, i'd first split all areas, map them clean and then stitch them together, one side of the 2 area stitched together gives you less rendervertices then stitiching it together on on, however it really depends also on how your short is looking, if you have something running over 1 i'd stitch it together on 1

if it's a normla shirt i'd stitch together on two and maybe stitch the collar to the front or back part, depending on if you have a zipper there or if the game is 3rd person and you could see the seam from behind
