Suhweet!! I plan on doing Kankuro with a few little alterations here and there, nothing really major. My main goal is to model and texture both Kankuro and Crow within the 5000 tri limit.

Sweeet! Kankuro, one of my favourite characters :P Good luck man!
Cool. Fat Batman. Well, not as fat anymore, but still.. very interesting pick, I'll be looking at this one with great interest :)

Here's a quick sketch, things are still rough right now, as I'm trying to figure what direction to take him in. I'm probably gonna do another study of him before I commit to a final design.

Very very solid start man. I can really see this being what he looks like in another 10-20 years. I really like it an I'm looking forward to the mesh.

I didn't get much done this week but I hope to get some stuff done this coming week. Thanx for the kind words guys, I've finally nailed down a design for Kankuro. Here's some info about my initial art direction: since Kanky is a sand village ninja I wanted his design to reflect the look of Desert people, I tried mixing in some elements of the Moors and some Kabuki elements to keep him grounded around his japanese puppeteering roots. He's much older in my version than he is in Shippuden (I still haven't watched Shippuden, I'm still watching the original series, I'm around episode 140). I figure he's gained a great measure of respect in his land and his wardrobe should reflect this.

He does look elaborate and respectable, he could almost be the Kazekage with clothes like that.
And good luck with the upcoming episodes. I've heard there are some gems in the filler arcs :)
