I'm still contemplating how to approach this comp. I think I'm going to have Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru together for my 3 characters.

I originally wanted to take it in a stylized-realism-super sexy route, but someone suggested I create them as kids...I've been looking for reference and found a few with them younger (when they were more of a trio so I'm told). I'm not sure , but I'll be doing some more sketches tonight.

Unfortunately I don't have a scanner at home (looking into purchasing one here soon) So updates with images might be scarce at first.

I had the same idea, but I think I won't have the time to make something, For the inspiration I though about the toy brand "Galactic Hereos" style. ( http://www.starwars.com/hyperspace/about/news/news20060124.html )

Hey cool reference, they remind me of the 'chibi' style that anime characters frequently reveal themselves in. I'also considered that...but I'm not feeling the cute as of lately, I'm feelin more of the super sexy!

Just got a scanner (finally) And will post what I had for quick concepts in just a sec after I get the scanner up.

Man, I wanna see Tsunade in her prime, which can be anything from her teenage years till let's say 50's? Lol!

I guess her during her active medical ninja days? Aite, go warm that scanner.

Gosh, that was tedious...

Anyway Scanner works now, and now im posting my prelim concepts. Still trying to decide which direction I want to take the overall form/appeal/style of the character. It's proving to be a little difficult when I know so little of the actual character. I'm thinking of taking her in a more hardcore leader type but still sexy direction.

Gonna push some more concepts this afternoon.

I really love the pose of the third character from the left. That reads as very strong and independent to me but the face of the one to the left of that is much more appealing. It's still anime-ish but not over the top which is good! Great start Alix, can't wait to see more =)

I agree with Kicker, the 3rd pose from the left looks very promising.. but I still feel the costume can use a little more work. For her hair, I like the first one in your latest picture. I can instantely recognize it as belonging to tsunade. Hope you will continue exploring. It's a great start so far:thumb:

Did a couple pose sketches...Havn't gotten into the outfit detail yet. I want to nail a pose and then use that pose to draw over some designs for the attire.

I am not familiar with the character but I really like the 2nd and 5th pose on the top and the 1st and 2nd pose on the bottom. I think dealing with a cartoon character you can't go wrong with force perspective, it will add a very dynamic element to whoever she is. Good work Arix =)

Heres the latest. I'm going to designate this as her final pose, and also use this as a template to explore her attire.
