i think you should adding more poly on the shoulder, so it can bend nice later...and in my opinion u can reduce the polys on the torso, so you can saves some poly for other areas...but that's depend on the concept you about to make.cheers..good luck!!

The modeling is so stiff! Loosen up his stance abit, give an arc to his legs and back, so that the model communicates a feeling of weight, and an element of that all important style :D

totally agreed with Chasarsis, looks too stiff, and i think you should focus on your model first, expends your 5000 tris or do the high poly, worried about lighting later....

Good start god_gilaz The face and vest look like a solid so far and already exhibits personality. The hair coming off of his forehead could benefit from some variety in the strokes, right now there all the same size and thickness. I'd suggest even for anime inspired hair to add some short strokes starting in the middle and make them a bit longer towards the sideburns and then short again. This should make for a much more pleasing look and feel. Good luck!:thumb:

Hey god_gilaz, good work so far. Just a couple of things that need to be tweeked and I think you'll be there or close too it. The first thing is his ears feel too high. Usually, the bottom of the ear lines up with the bottom of the nose and the top of the ear lines up with the top of the eye area. I think you also should pull his hair line back a small drop. Mostly because Shikamaru has a huge forehead. The other thing that needs some attention, is the hair on the back of his head. usually hair on the back of the head will flow straight down. Unless there hair is curly or wavey in which case it would wave or curl straight down.
At this point with your texture I think you've got everything colored. It's time to pull out some more details. First his clothes needs some kind of fabric feel to it. By that, I mean you should overlay using layer styles, filters, layer types of fabric over top of your model's clothes. Then I would try to dirty up areas, try thinking about where dirt would collect on this character and put some noise/gritty looking paint overly layed on the texture. Lastly the flesh tone. All flesh tones have red and orange in it. Even Black's have red in there cheeks or around there eyes. That and no flesh tone is even. So splatter that paint all over it. Add some slight blemishes or feckals.
All in all, you've got's a really good start man. Just keep it up and you'll get a really nice model out of this for sure.
