Well I started working on the textures an hour ago and because of my inability to avoid issues I like to test all my maps out first and quickly to make sure. Well I was right to test it and for some reason I'm getting some latent color in my opc map. There is no gray or variation of color in the map its pure black and white. I honestly have no idea why its doing this.

So with the small amount of 3d work I have done I have noticed its almost a constant problem solving. Which I don't mind but plz tell me it gets less painful :uhh:

I've found that the more practice I have the easier it is to work out these problems. Theres always gonna be problem solving but thats all part of improving ourselves.
What kind of material are you using? Well perhaps the first question should be, what 3D package are you using? I have found that with the raytrace material in 3DSMax, even if the opacity map is perfect, specular details show up in the transparent areas of the model anyway. Try making these areas of the spec map black. Thats my two bob anyway. Love to hear other peoples ideas. Would help me too.
