Rough for a redesign of the Taun Taun. It's a beast that lives in a winter-y world and it can be domesticated and used as a mount.

I was going for a shaggy, bulky creature that would plow through the snow. Right now it's coming out far too cute and hamster like. I'd like to take it to a more intimidating look but not overly so. Any thoughts?

Well, I'm trying to make the creature look a lot less cute and more intimidating, but not too much.

I tried to fix up the muscles on this guy. I moved a pair of eyes to the front and a pair to the side, so it has a lot of vision range to avoid predators but keep track of prey.

Shaggy coat added all around to keep the entire creature warm. :3

Changed the horns and made the tusks come out of the jaw rather than out of sockets on the side.

Any crits?

You've got some really sharp angles on that snout. That's what i'm reacting to.

If you're dead set on the nose, I'd try to at least curve it a little bit. It's just too straight and blunt IMO.

thanks for the feedback Neo! I'll be addressing the nose on my next iteration for sure

for now here's a sketch for today. Not what I wanted it to be before uploading, but I'm too tired for tonight. I'll continue working on this one later.

nice ideas, you should take a look at a cats anatomy, I think that will bring your character a more real look.
