hi, i'm new to this forum.....
actually i stopped watching naruto just when naruto battled sasuke at the waterfalls.............

well, my first choice for the concept design was going to be inuzuka kiba (the wild type-easy going kinda guy),......but, on the other side,... i wanted to make one of the female characters from the naruto series.
then i randomly picked yamanaka ino (from what i know, she's not a special type of character-besides the charming looks and her rivalry with sakura)
but i thought it would be fun to play with her wearing alternative costumes and other stuffs......

this is my first sketch on Ino.....
since she's getting a little older (i'll say about 17-18) i decided to give her a more "mature n sexy" look......
-she's wearing a kimono with one of the sleeves put away......
-the inner clothes are kind of a european dress from the medieval age
(i wanted to give her the charming-princess-look)
-changed the hair a bit, also gave some roses which shows the yamanaka clan..

anyway, still need more upgrades on her..........

nah, you are doing ok man. She has some very nice lingerie there:) I think your new costume really did this character justice, however, I would like to see what you have planned for the legs and feet. In theory, the footwear can make or break everything but I am positive you will come up with something really nice. Looking forward to seeing more!

Man love the expressions on her while she doing the mind transfer. Sweet! I guess that's natural progression for her since she's oozing with sexiness. Now some legs..

but i did work on the colors (sample below)

i still need to work on the kimono and the "lingerie" whether it's the design or the ornament (i'm still looking at some references) ...... also the legs-:inocent:

this is looking good...2 suggestions though...one you talked about...breaking up the komono a bit...whether bringing the dragon across the arm and down the front or adding some dramatic color to the front (maybe on the trim) like red to really pop against the darker colors in the design. The only other thing is that her head seems abnormally large...its anime so proportions are hard to say but it seems even 10% too large to me for the body. This may be a personal choice so disregard it if so...that's my 2 cents. Really a strong start.

FredH: mostly the colors are going to be like that, but there'll be a few changes according to the motives that will be added.

brian_h: about the motive on the kimono..... pardon me it's not a "dragon" it's supposed to be a "thorn" or "ivy" since she's from the Yamanaka clan. About the motives crossing and gradient ..... i'd surely bring it to my design (thnx dude!!),...........oh yeah, the head..... maybe i'll scale it down a little.

this is my first detailed sketch on the kimono.....
added more patterns across the front view, gave a flower to the ninja pouch (attached to the belt at the back) ......

I really like what you are doing with the character and I can definitely see this being Ino when she gets older. Very nice work so far and I'm really looking forward to more.

aaah... finally done with the inner clothings....
ummm, i'm still learning and exploring some color styles though, so i don't know yet how my final color's gonna be ...
well, here it is, made a few changes from the first sketches:

-the lingerie,.... is actually a ninja body suit lingerie:D
-changed the forehead protector w/ the konoha sign into a hairclip
-added some sexy ninja footwear:D

okay then, feel free to throw out those c&c's !!

by the way,.... does any one know ino's or her father's or her family's kuchiyose no jutsu (summoning technique)??
it'll really help (cause i intend to do something w/ the winning pose)

i think her hip is bit small, isnt female hip wider than her shoulder (duh, correct me if im wrong)
