View Full Version : Being able to rename our thread titles

Sometimes during a thread's evolution it changes in such a way that its title is misleading. Like my Hi-TEK Ninja thread, for instance. It is no longer a ninja, and I would like to be able to change the title to reflect this.

Would it be possible to let us regular users change this ourselves? :)

I can understand how you want to keep us from changing the titles in the contest forums -- they do adhere to a set format -- but from setting up several vBulletin boards over the years I seem to recall this being customisable so that only certain forums' threads' titles can be changed.

Would be awesome :D

Oh my, I can probably put in an "if" statement or two about letting some forums allow renames, but this might take a while to figure out. By any chance, might you have a direct link to a plugin for this on vbulletin.org?:D

I can't for the life of me find it. Starting to think I perhaps confused Invision Power Board (now IP.Board) with vBulletin..

No Idea if this is what you are talking about, but I'll post anyways just incase.

Awesome job there, Enma, that's exactly it. Thanks a lot :)

Just have to put something ridiculously high, such as 525600 for 365 days, or something.

Although yeah, I guess that doesn't solve the problem of people editing the competition threads :P

hmm, thanks enma, this is very interesting. Perhaps I can put an 'if' statement somewhere to hide the thread title box only in the competition areas, but, is this really really worth it?:D
